Stage is set for the expulsion of T Devender Goud from Telugu Desam, if party sources are to be believed. Following the all round attack on him by the other Telugu Desam leaders, Goud met party president N Chandrababu Naidu and gave an explanation on his statement that he would go out of the party, if the party fails to take an early decision on Telangana.
Sources say Naidu was not happy with Goud's statement and pulled him up for going to the media, without discussing it within the party. "Whatever you want to say, you should say it before the five-member committee on Telangana. But it is not proper to talk about it in the media," he said. He defended Secunderabad MLA Talasani Srinivasa Yadav's tirade against Goud.
Apparently, Goud felt humiliated. Though he participated in the politburo meeting at Kakinada, he appeared off the mood at the press meet, where Naidu firmly said that stern action would be taken against those who violated party discipline. Which means, warning bells were sounded for Goud, sources say.
