Director's search for Blue Bird

T. Prabhakar, director of successful film Bathukamma on Telangana tradition, said that he took a lot of pains to show the worn-out method of Yetam (manual arrangement of lifting of water from well using bullocks for irrigation) and Palapitta (Indian roller) in his film. "With electrification, the farmers forgot Yetam. When I tried to show this in a scene (for 10 seconds), I had fetch some parts like hook (Bokkena) all the way from Karimnagar. For Blue Bird, I tried for seven days. I lost hopes. Finally, a person in our village Mulugu caught it after three days of waiting. This bird-shot also lasts for just a few seconds. But, we spent our mind for ten days."
