Nagaphani Sharma has been keeping a low profile ever since he was caught in an unsavory incident of making advances to a woman in the US when he was in the US to take part in TANA celebrations. His high profile public appearances have been curtailed ever since. Nagaphani was also involved in a bitter wrangle over extension of lease of the building situated at Barkatapura.
While the going was good he managed to obtain largesse from the government. He was given about 50 acres of land at Bhoodhan Pochampally and 4 acres in Madhapur. The lands are now worth 100s of crores.
Nagaphani is now reportedly in the process of selling of the lands that were originally allotted to him to set up Avadhana Saraswathi Peetam. From a towering literary giant some time back, he is now reduced to a real estate dealer. What a fall!
