Looks like days are numbered for senior Congress MLA Vuppunuthala Purushottam Reddy in Congress.
Even as the party high command is preparing the ground for his expulsion from the party, the YSR government showed an exit door to him. Reddy, who is heading the Telangana Regional Development Board, was asked to vacate the premises located in the old building of RTC headquarters in the city.
A notice to this effect was served on him by APSRTC management. Significantly, APSRTC is headed by Vuppunuthala's friend and Telangana protagonist M Satyanarayana Rao. The RTC management threatened to evict him forcibly, if he does not vacate the premises.
Already, Vuppunuthala is fretting and fuming for not being given any powers and funds in the Telangana Board. Now, this notice has come as a humiliation to him. As if rubbing salt on his wounds, the Chief Minister remarked that the old leaders were talking in desperation, because of their old age. An angry Vuppunuthala is gearing up for a direct confrontation with YSR. Result would be obvious: he would be shown the door, sooner or later.
