Meera Jasmine Hiking Up Her Remuneration

Meera Jasmine is another import from Mollywood. She is still a relatively newcomer here. Her most memorable hit in Tollywood is the Venu and Srikanth starrer 'Yamagola Malli Modalaindi". Her role was appreciated by everyone but she did not bag too many offers after that.
Meera Jasmine is doing a role in Gorintaaku. She is playing the role of Rajashekar's sister in the film. She may be a big star in Malayalam but in Tollywood, she is by no means in the same league as a Trisha or Ileana or Nayantara.
All the above mentioned actresses hiked their remuneration after giving some big hits. But the gossip doing the rounds in Tollywood is that Meera Jasmine has hiked her remuneration. She is now reportedly demanding 30 lakhs per film. But will this wide waist girl get that much?!

Sekhar Kammula Hasn't Strike Rod When Hot

Shekar Kammula turned a hero and a youth icon of sorts with the stupendous success of 'Happy Days'. The film came as a refreshing change from the run of the mill action and love films.
Shekar Kammula was the hottest thing in town and suddenly he was almost everywhere, print, radio, TV, seminars and what not. Shekar Kammula was wooed by several big stars like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. They all wanted Shekar Kammula to do a film for them.
But Shekar Kammula was much too busy with his various public appearances and live shows on TV to give much thought to these offers. Even Mahesh Babu waited for Shekar to come up with a story for him but it did not materialize.
Now people are slowly forgetting Shekar. He now has to come up with another winning film and prove himself all over once again in order to stay in the limelight.

'Jalsa' Black Market Started

Jalsa is hitting the screens on April 2. The names of the theatres where the film is going to be screened have already been announced. The craze for the film is at an all time high as a Pawan Kalyan film is coming after a long gap of two years. Some politicians in Krishna, Guntur and other districts have taken entire theatres on hire for one week. This means that the theatres have been effectively blocked for one full week. Many fans of Pawan Kalyan therefore have to wait for one full week before they can watch their star on screen. So these fans now have no option but to buy the tickets at the other theatres that have not been blocked by politicians. Black marketing of tickets is already on in a big way. At many places, the tickets are changing hands ranging from Rs 400 to Rs 600. The price may go even higher as the released date draws near.

Fans Say 'Jalsa' Crosses 'Pokiri'

This is the talk that is in discussion among the Pawan Kalyan fans. They say that the film 'Jalsa' would cross the records set by 'Pokiri'. The expectations are high and the film is releasing in 1000 theaters worldwide. It is sure that the openings will be tremendous for the film. And as there is Trivikram's factor in the film, there is talk that the film would be another 'Khushi'. If it meets the graph of 'Khushi', then the trade analysts say that the film may touch 'Pokiri' records easily. When the audiences tend to flow in those many theaters for about 3-4 weeks in houseful collections, then the film would set a record for it self, opine a few. We have to see how far things work out this way. The movie is due for release in another 2 days. Indeed, the tickets are not available in easy movies counters now. Black market has already started as well.
In fact, it was told by reliable sources that Allu Aravind has targeted at Rs 65 Cr collection for the film and expecting the same.

Minor strife between Ramanaidu and Suresh Babu

A little communication gap can sometimes lead to great wars and eventually the collapse of a major empire. There are many such cases be it politics, sports, films and any other fields and especially the film industry one has to be careful as it involves people, money and trust.
Grapevine says that there has been a small skirmish between Dr Ramanaidu and Suresh Babu over the announcement of the new film starring Srikanth and heroine Charmee. It is said that Suresh has got to know this only through the newspapers and was not too happy that he was not kept in the loop.
However, this does not stop the film from getting made and whatever the differences, that will be sorted. Only that it will be presented under Suresh Productions and not Suresh Productions Pvt Ltd. It is known that the former belongs to Ramanaidu and later to Suresh Babu.

Rajni Kanth Dancing With 5 Heroines

Super Star Rajani Kanth is now in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. He is going to dance with 5 heroines for single song where Naynatara was already pulled. Nayan okayed to dance in a bit with Rajni as she is his fan and simply obeys if anything to be played beside him. She knows that she was shot to fame only because of Chandramukhi with Rajani Kanth.
And then Mamata Mohan Das and Sneha are also playing beside Rajani for this song. Other two heroines' names are kept under wraps as of now. All this is for the shooting of the film 'Kucheludu' in which Jagapathi Babu and Meena are playing leads.
P Vasu is directing the film at very brisk pace with a motive to complete everything within as span of just 2 and half months.

Invasion And Capture On Pawan Kalyan's Theatres

Yes, now we are seeing a sort of invasion on the theaters those are releasing 'Jalsa' coming week. And that is happening in Vijayawada. Now a silent battle is going on among the Chiranjeevi fanatics in Congress and TDP. Big leaders are coming forward to book the theatres completely for a week or two to accommodate their youth leaders and fan battalions of Chiranjeevi in their party. As per a report, Vijayawada east legislator Vangaveeti Radhakrisha reportedly blocked the tickets in Sailaja theatre completely for one week and Kankipadu legislator Devineni Nehru is also said to be negotiating with the exhibitors. Sources said Nehru's son is leading a fan club of Chiranjeevi with a support base of a few hundred youth in the city. Interestingly, the pressure on the TDP leaders is also mounting. "The youngsters are demanding that they should get some tickets at any cost. With theatres are blocked by ruling party leaders, it might be difficult for us to get some tickets. So, we too might have to block a theatre or two," says a TDP leader. The film is about to hit the screens on April 2n or 4th in 15 theaters of Vijayawada. The kapu dominant circles are taking it a prestigious film as it would be the last film from Chiru clan before he announces his party. And obviously Allu Arjun's 'Parugu' happens to be first film after party announcement if everything goes well. All are waiting for April 7th for the announcement day. The reason for the delay of the release of the film is attributed to yet to be done Digital Interface act for it. And coming to theatres aspect in Vijayawada, Allu Aravind, who himself manages Krishnamahal theatre, has leased out it to an enthusiastic industrialist Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu. Prabhu's son is aspiring to jump into politics once Chiranjevvi launches the party. "He is said to have paid Rs 7 lakh to the producer to block tickets for all shows for one week," a Chiranjeevi fan said. Guntur II legislator T Venkata Rao booked Naaz theatre for the first week, while Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao's family took another theatre Hariharamahal into their fold with a sole aim of keep the Chiranjeevi fans happy. On the other side, Mayor Kanna Nagaraju, himself a Kapu, entered the fray in the final moments and has started negotiating with the distributors of the Swamy theatre. "It is a clever ploy by the producer to en-cash his brother-in-law's craze to make his investment safe," observed a former censor board member. Normally, the producers would not interfere once the rights of distribution had been sold out. However, in the case of 'Jalsa', Aravind is reportedly directly dealing with the leaders even after giving away the rights. So, that happens to be a big game with 'Jalsa'

Complaint against Sridevi put on hold

Mumbai: Film actor Sridevi on Wednesday got some relief from the Bombay High Court which put on hold proceedings against her in an alleged chequebouncing case filed by film financier Sushil Gupta. The actor had also filed a complaint against Gupta alleging forgery of her signature on the cheques and on her letterhead. The court directed the police to do a handwriting analysis to verify the authenticity of the signature on the cheques.
Justice A P Deshpande passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Sridevi seeking a stay on the criminal proceedings for cheque-bouncing till her complaint was thoroughly probed first. She has three cases pending, two in Kurla court and one in Girgaum court, filed against her for allegedly dud cheques worth about Rs 9 crore.
Her counsel in the HC Amit Desai stated that the cheques were common in all cases. He said for five months police was dragging its feet and failed to take possession of the cheques from Gupta for a handwriting check to ascertain the signatures.

RP Patnaik Assumes To Be A Revolutionist

Music director R P Patnaik seems to be in the mode of becoming a messiah of film making.
As it is, he is being criticized for his music which is being labeled as outdated and repetitive and now the poor audience has to bear with his movie making abilities where he has tried to project romance between a school going girl and a 25 year old man.
It is always welcome to come up with a revolutionary thought but not at the cost of creating a ridiculing impact on him and those who watch his products.
Hope RP realizes that. His recent film 'Andamaina Manasulo' has kept him down miserably.

How Far 'Jalsa' Works For Chiru's Party Announcement?

Pawan Kalyan's Jalsa is now all set for release on Apr 2nd or 4th. The film has raised a lot of expectations among his fans as well as industry people. Pawan Kalyan did not have a big hit after Kushi. The film Kushi came some seven years ago. Even though he acted in some films after Kushi, none of them fared well at the box office.
The crazy combination of Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram Srinivas and Devi Sree Prasad are likely to do wonders at the box office. The audio is also a big hit.
Now all attention has now been turned on the news that Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are doing guest roles in films. Some say that there is also some talk that there would be some direct references to Chiranjeevi's soon to be launched political party. We now have to wait and see how far Jalsa will help Chiranjeevi in his attempt to launch a political party. It is assumed that the release hype wiuld give mileage for Chiranjeevi camp indirectly, as per fans.

'Jalsa' Brought Huge Loss Overseas

This is what the overseas distributors are bagging while putting fingers in big film. The theaters overseas were booked much in advance by distributors to release 'Jalsa' on large scale. For the first time, the film is planned to release in a Multiplex of New Jersey. Advances were paid in large sum to the theatres but finally, it turned a mishap. The film got postponed to April. This has brought tremors among overseas distributors and now they are lamenting for a big loss.
On the other hand the big producers are no way concerned towards these distributors and they were simply left to their fate. There has been a practice that the overseas distributors send their own people to India to get the points to their places as they hardly believe in the professionalism and concern of producers. But still, unforeseen postpones are killing the spirits of all.
"In fact they sell the product for big sums and assume that they are helping overseas distributors to big extent. But they don't wish to see our faces when we say that we lost", says a distributor.
Industry sources say that except Gemini Kiran all else are conservative and selfish with respect to overseas distributors. It is said that Gemini Kiran releases the prints two days in advance to ensure comfortable position of distributors and exhibitors. Overseas exhibitors are now cursing Allu Aravind for their plight

Kaka gives up fight on Telangana

Within three days of declaring that he would practice mouna vratam for at least a couple of weeks, senior Congress leader G Venkatswamy opened his mouth.
He surfaced at the felicitation function of newly appointed PCC president D Srinivas, who took charge at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday. He sat beside Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and was found having an intimate chat with him. When his turn came, he spoke at length the successful combination of DS and YSR and blessed that it would bring back the Congress into power.
Surprisingly, Kaka did not raise the issue of Telangana; on the other hand, he advised DS to take along with him both Telangana and Andhra leaders and ensure the Congress victory. The audience was wondering what had happened to Kaka's outburst against YSR and his curse that the Congress would lose heavily in the polls if Telangana was not granted. Anything is possible in the Congress!
