Ask Aravind about my train: Chiru

The train that will bring Megastar Chiranjeevi into politics appears to be almost ready. Chiru, who hitherto did not talk a word about his political entry, gave a positive hint to that effect.
"Allu Aravind is looking into all aspects with regard to my train. You can ask him," was the comment made by Chiranjeevi, when mediapersons asked him when his train would come on to the platform. For the first time, he also emphasized on the importance of voting and appealed to the people to exercise their franchise freely, as "vote is a major weapon of the voters."
So, Chiru is mentally prepared to take a plunge into politics. Already, there has been leakage about his plans and programmes; even his party name "Mana Desam" has been leaked to the media from his sources. It is a matter of a week or two for the megastar to come out in the open.

Behind The Scene: Why this overaction, EC?

Election Commission seems to be doing over-action in the ongoing byelections. If not, how can one describe the cases filed indiscriminately against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, while sparing other leaders including Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and others.
EC directed that cases be filed against CM in as many as 10 districts in the name of poll code violation. Particularly, what was wrong in YSR addressing a press conference and making an appeal to the voters. Political parties should not make a public campaign, they have every right to make an appeal through media. Never in the past did the EC object to this media campaign. But this time, it has gone a little overboard.
What is worse, it is planning to file cases against even media, which has reported the Chief Minister's press meet. That Lok Satta convenor Jayaprakash Narayan and former Advocate general S Ramachandra Rao also condemned EC is ample evidence to this overaction by the Commission.

'Attack' On Dr Raja Sekhar's Office

Some unidentified people have ransacked Dr. Raja Sekhar's office and damaged a computer and pilfered some Cds and documents during the early hours of Thursday. Dr Raja Sekhar's wife Jeevitha said that there is some conspiracy behind it and otherwise the intruder wouldn't just damage computer and steal some unnecessary Cds. But she is clueless of what is happening to her family head. She expressed her fear to Jubilee Hills police and submitted her complaint. It is known that a few Chiru fans have attacked Dr Raja Sekhar earlier and that was big news. Now investigation is going on those lines as well

'Made In Chennai' Written Big In Chennai Posters

The Prabhas and Trisha starrer 'Bujjigadu made in Chennai' opened to good box office collections. The new style of Prabhas coupled with energetic portrayal in the dance and actions scenes have fetched him good marks from all sections of the audience.
The posters of the film in Chennai show the title 'Bujjigadu' is smaller case while the tagline 'Made in Chennai' has been given in very bold letter. The producer is also trying to cash on the popularity and craze for Rajnikanth by displaying his photo very prominently in all the posters.
Puri Jagannath is also a well known name in Kollywood and Rajnikanth's high praise of Puri during the audio launch of the film is also being publicized to pull in the crowds.

'Lakshmi Narasimha' Releasing Again

Dubbing films rarely do well. But despite a poor track record, many producers continue to make dubbing films on a regular basis.
The old successful Tamil film 'Swamy' starring Vikram and Trisha was remade into Telugu as 'Lakshmi Narasimha ' with Balakrishna and Asin. Now, the same film is being dubbed into Telugu. When the remake has already seen light, how will the dubbing film with heavy Tamil backdrop and humour work? The logic behind the dubbing of 'Swamy' is strange and therefore comes as a big surprise. The audio rights of this dubbed version have also been sold.
Producers expect that the film would run well in C centers and the satellite rights will also be sold for big sum.

Why Chiranjeevi Not Entertaining Reddys?

Are the Reddys in the state untouchables? Or so it seems if one were to go by the way Chiranjeevi has been going about ever since he gave indications of entering into politics.
Chiranjeevi is now busy finalizing plans for the announcement of his political party. He has been slowly but surely wooing various sections of the society. Chiranjeevi's friend Dr. Mitra has been conducting a series of camps comprising ladies, students, workers, lawyers, IT professionals etc.
Even Chiranjeevi is doing it in his own style, wooing Kammas and also SC, ST and BC voters. While the Kamma lobby is fairly big in Tollywood, the Reddy's are a very powerful fore in politics in the state.
But the Reddys in the state are unhappy with Chiranjeevi for neglecting them but trying to keep the Kammas in his good books. He is not developing any antagonism with Kammas to erase the opinion that he is emerging as big leader to combat Kammas. As they are large in number in film industry, he doesn't want to lose their friendship. But Reddys are now cornered by Chiru and hence a few people in the community are expressing their disgust.

KCR's Daughter Leads New(s) Channel

Yet one more new(s) channel going to hit Telugu homes soon, may be by this year end. Ground work like firm registration completed and TV channel license is in process. Technical, Editorial, Administration recruitment will begin in a couple of months.
Unlike other languages, Telugu people are in flood of news channels. This number is on parity with entertainment channels. ETV2, TV9, Gemini News, TV5, NTV are the existing regional news channels. Saakshi TV, CBC, TTV, Zee, Maa, Reliance, YTV and LOCAL TV are in pipeline.
ETV2 stand with TDP, while TV9, NTV prop up Congress. Even though TV5 is fundamentally in good turn to TDP, neutral for time being, to guard their interests. Since everybody knows, Saakshi TV will be devoted in favor to Congress and TTV for TDP, as Andhra Jyothy MD Radha Krishna also having share in TTV.
Like others, this TV channel also upcoming with true political motto too and impending from the house of Telangana Rastra Samithi Supremo K.Chandra Sekhar Rao. KCR's daughter Kavitha is managing intact project. Firm registration is made on the name, which starts with 'K', almost certainly 'K' Channel.
At present KCR is glad with the media reporting. But in view of future needs he desires a dedicated channel in support of TRS. Your speculation would go wrong if you imagine the channel aims only Telangana region. Interestingly, Kavitha wish to popularize it in Andhra too.

NBK: 'No Comment on Chiru Party'

Cine actor and late NTR's son Balakrishna is going to campaign for Telugu Desam Party in the next general elections.
Speaking to the media at Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital on the occasion of late NTR's 86th birth anniversary celebrations, Balakrishna said that he is always available to serve Telugu Desam party. He was not sure that whether he will contest in the next elections or not.
He said,"I will not say anything about contesting in the next general elections. But I will participate in welfare programmes to move close with the people."
When asked about Chiranjeevi entry into the politics, Balakrishna said that anybody can enter into politics. He said,"I will not say anything about Chiranjeevi political entry." He also avoided on questions relating to chief minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy and on Telangana issue saying 'no comment'.
He also clarified that he will not invite his sister Purandheshwari into Telugu Desam Party and said that he has good family relations with her.

Mahesh Babu Fans Are Restless

'Prince' Mahesh Babu is one man who has been ruling the roost with his line of successive hits, apart from the film 'Sainikudu' most of his other films rained money at the box office and one can never forget the long lasting impact that 'Pokiri' created not just on the audience but also on the industry as a whole. But there is a flip side to his story.
Mahesh prefers to do only one film a year and the last film that everyone got to see was 'Athidhi' which was a painful movie but made massive collections at the box office. From then on, there is absolutely no news as to when Mahesh's next film will go onto floors.
The latest that we have on him is that his upcoming film has been tentatively titled 'Varudu' which will be directed by Trivikram Srinivas. This has been keeping Mahesh fans in the dark and they are said to be going restless over when the film will hit the floors and when they can see him back on screen. Sadly for them, there is no release for Mahesh this year. Even though the shooting of 'Varudu' starts in June it certainly takes more than 6 months to release.

K Raghavendra Rao Earns Crores On Sub Contracts

K Raghavendra Rao is one man who not only knows how to show the best oomph in women but also to make the maximum money out of his brand name. This time we are talking about his hold on the small screen industry and the revenues he generates out of it.
Apparently, he has recently devised a subject for a mythological mega serial for the SV Channel which was said to be taken at a whopping rate of 4.5 lakhs per episode. Now, Raghavendra Rao has outsourced it to someone else at the rate of 2.5 lakhs per each episode and they will take care of the entire work on the serial.
This means that with no holds barred, he can just sit in his lawn and two lakhs would be coming at his doorstep just like that. The serial is meant to go for an extensive 50 episodes which means that Raghavendra Rao would be bagging a cool 1 crore with his smart move.

Reel Talk: Dasarath gets into Teja's shoes

Director Dasarath, who tasted moderate success with the film Swagatham, is getting ready for his next project, starring all new faces. Seems like he has taken a page out of director Teja’s book, who initiated the trend of moviemaking with debutants. The film is said to be a youthful and romantic entertainer.
Bhaskar Reddy, who debuted as a producer with a Nagababu-starrer, is donning the director’s hat for the film. The flick is expected to be launched in the second week of next month. Dasrath’s Swagatham starred Bhumika in a pivotal role, which catapulted the actress to stardom in Tollywood.
The director was instrumental in bringing the actress to the fore, and she was even contemplating doing another film with him. However, postmarriage, Bhumika has decided to give acting a break and has turned producer instead, with the help of hubby Bharat Thakur.

'Sivaji Autobiography' Going Well In AP

The legendary Sivaji Ganesan was a great actor not only in Tamil Nadu but he was equally loved and admired in Telugu as well among a generation of film audiences.
Sivaji Ganesan was unique in his appearance, acting and dialogue delivery. His film 'Veera Pandya Katta Bomman' was one of his most memorable and best films in his long and illustrious career.
Sivaji Ganesan has also been conferred with the highest civilian honor in France 'Chevalier'. His autobiography in English was released in 2007. Even after one year, the book is still doing very well in Andhra Pradesh too. People are buying the books in large numbers in Hyderabad and Vizag.
The book has been priced at Rs. 300 but it still is attracting a lot of buyers including Telugu people.

'Chintakayala Ravi' Coming Out With Full-Dose Comedy

The victory Venkatesh starrer 'Chintakayala Ravi' with the tagline 'Software Engineer' is now progressing at a brisk pace. The film like all Venkatesh films will be an out and out family entertainer.
Venkatesh's last film was 'Tulasi'. However it was a bit too heavy with violence and big fights. But it was his 'Adavari Maatalaku Ardhale Veerule' that was not only a big hit but had the trademark of Venkatesh elements like action, sentiment, comedy etc.
Venkatesh and director Yogi are determined to make the film into a full fledged comic entertainer. Venkatesh says that the comedy in the film will be of some very high quality and everyone will enjoy it. Anushka and Mamatha Mohandas are the heroines

Devi Sri Prasad's Marriage In October

Devi Sree Prasad is one of the most successful music directors in Tollywood today. He is also a multi faceted personality who can also sing as well as dance. He is well known with his live stage performances both in the state as well as abroad. All this naturally makes him one of the most coveted young man and also the most eligible bachelor. The talk about his impending marriage has been doing the rounds for some time now. It is understood that he may tie the knot in October. It is however not clear if the girl is from Tollywood or some outside girl. Devi Sree has been romantically linked to more than one heroine. One of the 'charming' heroines moved so closely with him that they were even ready to get married. But some strong opposition to the girl is from Devi Sree's father who asked to put a full stop to the affair and the proposal.

Ramoji-Suman-Prabhakar Clash Reflects In 'Eenadu'

Ads relating to Prabhakar and ETV are regular feature in Eenadu news Paper till two days ago. But now they are absent. Prabhakar's face is seen no where in Eenadu now. Same is the case with Suman's ETV serials as well. Only the Ads relating to ETV2 are present in district edition but Vasundhara section in main News Paper is not publishing any. This gives a support for the clash between Ramoji Rao and Suman/Prabhakar. Even now the reason for this clash is not known. But it is believed that Ramoji Rao is not happy towards the popularity gained by Prabhakar using ETV. Ramoji always wishes to see his people under his toe. He never wished to show the face of renowned Eenadu cartoonist Sridhar as well. Ramoji fears that the faces of people working under him shouldn't get renowned. But Sridhar is happy with what he is getting at Ramoji Rao. That's what Ramoji wants-a much contended souls. Ramoji feels that popularity, money and influence should vest only in his hands. Prabhakar was a middle class person who used to roam on an old scooter till he got connection with Suman. But now he is in riches. This disturbed Ramoji Rao says inside sources in ETV. Will there be any compromise between Ramoji and young ones in this issue or should it be treated as permanent bid? That has to be wait and see

Why No Endorsements For Ram Charan Till Now?

Ram Charan is touted as the next big thing in Tollywood. He was groomed for several years by his father Chiranjeevi, in order to make his debut a sensation in Tollywood.
Of course, Ram Charan did have a dream debut what with 'Chirutha' what with Puri Jagannath putting all his energies and talent to work to make the film a success (indeed with hype but not story line). The film went on to become a moderate hit. Ram Charan also scored good marks for screen presence, ease in dance and fights.
With his name and lineage, any actor would have been flooded with offers for endorsement by many big companies by now. But strangely, Ram Charan has not endorsed any product till date. Did he not get any good offer or is he waiting for some big one?
Allu Arjun is endorsing products like '7 Up'. Will Ram Charan see companies lining up for him after his film with SS Rajamouli? We have to wait and see.

Madhavan: Marketing maestro?

We have often applauded Aamir, Shah Rukh and Shahid for taking that extra effort in promoting their films. But now, Madhavan too seems to have warmed up to the fact that a film is as good as it’s marketing strategy. Apparently, so impressed were the producers – not only with his acting talent but also with his involvement in marketing a film titled 13B – that they have decided to reward him. And just what is the reward? A four film deal! Wow! Now actors will have enough and more reason to get their business acumen to the fore.

Bhavana Joins Hands With Nithin

Bhavana is the heroine beside Nithin now for the film 'Hero' that is going to be directed by GV, the renowned villain on Telugu screen. Bhavana is a well known actress in Malayalam and she is almost on the top slot there from quite some time. She also made her presence felt in better way on Tamil screen as well. But she couldn't do big on Telugu screen with the debut film 'Ontari' with Gopichand. We have to see if she gets something with 'Hero'. Bhavana has got criticism with respect to her body structure. Let us wish that she corrects her bulged tummy and humpy hip!!

Hollywood Hair Style For Rajni Kanth

Rajni Kanth is going to sport in new look and novel hairstyle for the film 'Robot' that is going to be made in the direction of Shankar. The film has got huge attention as Aishwarya Rai is playing the female lead in the film. Otherwise it would be considered as another Shivaji but nothing new. The film is produced by Eros International and Ayangaran International collectively. It is believed that Rajni Kanth and Shankar are leaving for Hollywood to finalize on the hair style for the star. Also a few hairs stylists are being hired for the film through out the shooting process. It is said that Rajni will be getting a cute 30 year old look in this film. Thanks to the Hollywood range make up!

'Happy Days' Team Looking For Media Attention

It has been a long, long time since the film 'Happy Days' hit the screens. Even after so many months and after 100s of special appearances on TV and elsewhere, the actors are yet to come out of the trance or so it appears. Even today, the actors from the film think that they are as hot and appealing as they were when the film first hit the screens. It may sound a bit unfair but many of them are still relatively unknown to a large section of the population, including cine goers. They still need to have the tag "of Happy Days fame" before or after their names for people to connect with them. In such a scenario one would expect them to touch the ground and face the reality. But they still expect the media to follow them everywhere and cover their each and every movement! They should realize that whatever little stardom they have achieved is largely due to the name of director Shekar Kammula. The sooner they realize this, the better it is for them.

Ramoji Rao's Confusion With Chiru and TDP

With so much turmoil happening in the state with issues like the by-elections, Chiranjeevi's political entry and other things, one man who is moving heaven and earth to ensure that Congress does not make it to the power is the leading entrepreneur and media baron Ramoji Rao, the Chairman of 'Eenadu' group.
It is heard that he has been meeting up with various political heads excluding the Congress and is devising strategies to figure out how YSR and Congress can be kept out of power. One such idea of his is said to be the alliance between TDP and TRS and maybe Naidu can also look at joining hands with Chiranjeevi and aim for the national politics. If need be, there can also be a situation where Eenadu might take Chiru's side since he could well be the future chief minister.
When asked why Ramoji is doing all this, the talk is that this visionary is sure that YSR and his team are bent upon bringing down his empire and the recent issues are a classic example for that. If Congress comes to power for another term, then it is game over for Ramoji and his legacy and before that happens, this king maker must move his cards quickly.

Heroine Pumping Her Money into Real Estate!

Having been booked to Ram Charan Teja's second film, heroine Kajal's ratings have gone up many times.
Now she is so particular in investing every rupee she saves. Sensing her intention, real estate brokers are almost chasing her. She is found indulging in conversation during breaks in shooting on sets.
She has already bought two plots in Madapur. She strongly believes few female stars have long innings. Yes, she proves that as well.

Trivikram-Parvathi 'Affair' Gaining Strength

It is a routine thing for heroes to have a fling with the heroines. But a director having a fling is a rare thing, at least in Tollywood. But things are slowly changing here too. We now see music directors romancing singers and actresses and directors having a hot and steamy affair with their heroines. Parvathi Melton played the second heroin in the film Jalsa. While Ileana was the main heroine, it was Parvathi who caught the attention of everyone with her oomph and glamour. It was said that director Trivikram gifted her with a diamond necklace. The rumor doing the round is that Trivikram is totally bowled over by the charm of Parvathi and is now running after her lustily all the time. We may see this romance on par with Saif-Kareena, Amitabh-rekha, and John-Bips sort of affair.

Tammareddy Bringing Glory To His Chair

Tammareddy Bharadwaja is a man of simple living and high thinking. He is the President of Producers Council. But he has no high airs. He is very down to earth and courteous towards everyone. He is bringing a lot of glory to his chair with his thoughts and action. He addresses journalists as brothers, and he is also very friendly with them. "Bharadwaja is also very careful with his choice of words and takes care not to hurt anyone, knowingly or unknowingly. He sure is a source of inspiration to many, particularly in the field of cinema, where pomp and glory is seen as the hallmark of a successful person", says a small time producer on the condition of anonymity. Well, a word of appreciation is also being told in anonymity as the producer fears that it may hurt opposite group members.

Producer Tasted Gajala's Mafia Power

This is something that happened some four years back. Gajala was not a busy actor even at the time. She was relatively new but had a few films on hand. When she was acting in a film, the producer of the film got enraged over some trivial issue and slapped Gajala hard on the cheek.
Gajala was not one to take things lying down. She immediately informed a close friend who had good connections with the mafia. The mafia leader rang up the producer and warned him of dire consequences.
The producer literally pissed in his trousers and took the next available flight to Chennai. Gajala was in Chennai in connection with the shooting for a Tamil film then. The producer apologized to Gajaja profusely and the matter ended with forgiveness of Gajala. That was the power of Gajala, being publicized now off late by Film Nagar sources, as Gajala's name is heard in big way with mafia connections.

Meher Ramesh-Either Surendar Or Vamsi Paidipalli?

'Kantri' is releasing in another 1 hour. The expectations on the film are high but the inside talk is not that great. Meher Ramesh is the new entrant into the industry as director and he may strike gold and get the fame on par with Surender reddy if the film proves to be success. In case, the film falls on wrong side of the result, Meher Ramesh will be called another Vamsi Paidipalli whom the industry ignored him al together. Let us see what would be the result of this new director. Jr NTR is the lead in the film with Hansika and Tanisha as his heroines. Mani Sharma scored music and Ashiwnini Dutt produced it.

Brahmanandam As Ballem Venu

EVV Sathyanarayana is well known for his comedy films. The popular comedian Brahmanandam has signed up for one of EVV's new film that is yet to hit floors. His character in the film is Ballem Venu.
Incidentally, Ballem Venu happens to be the name of a small producer from Tollywood who is better known for film circles than general public. Is EVV trying to make a mockery of him in his film? Well, we have to wait for the release of the film to know the truth.
But EVV is very confident that the film would become a big hit. He is also sure that the character Ballem Venu would become a big rage. So EVV is registering the title in order to en cash on it at an appropriate time.

New Title 'Akasaramanna-TV 10 Ki Kooda Dorakadu'

Director EVV Sathyanarayana has managed to make his younger son Allari Naresh into a successful star. Naresh is now a big and busy actor in his own light. He has his hands full with films. But EVV's other son Aryan Rajesh has not had a successful run in Tollywood. Despite several trials, he does not have many big films to his credit. Rajesh's last hit film was 'Evadigola Vadidhe'.
EVV is now determined to make Rajesh also into a successful star. He is now making a film titled 'Akasaramanna-TV 10 Ki Kooda Dorakadu'. The film will hit the floors on July 20. EVV is directing the film and he is hopeful of giving a big hit with this film.
Earlier EVV tried for many titles and finally landed up with this

Raghuvaran's Death Brought Chances For Suman

Raghuvaran was the undisputed badshaw of baddies. He brought a rare appeal and richness to the role of villain in films. His distinct voice and cool mannerism made him the number one villain in Kollywood.
Raghuvaran passed away recently after a protracted battle with major ailment. He left a big void in the Tamil film industry. He is almost irreplaceable. But then, as they say, the show must go on. So the directors and producers in Kollywood are now on the lookout for suitable replacement for him. The talented Prabhu, son of Sivaji Ganesan and our own 'Sivaji' villain Suman, are now stepping into his shoes. Many directors are now casting these two actors in films which are either half done are now going to the sets in Tamil. Thus Raghuvaran's demise brought chances for Suman and Prabhu.
