YSR to highlight 'development sentiment'
Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy is of the view that his "development sentiment" can outwit the Telangana sentiment in the next elections.
He is asking the Congress MLAs to focus on developmental issues and "development sentiment" than division of the State. He also mooted a proposal to increase the constituency development fund from the present Rs Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore to step up the developmental activities and another Rs one crore each to every mandal and major municipalities.
YSR feels confident that if the party leaders go out aggressively campaigning about the developmental programmes, particularly in Telangana, there would be any scope for sentiment. They should create an impression among the people that the government was more concerned about the development of the region. Let us see which sentiment will prevail on the people.
